SOPHIA ROSS ALVAREZ
Actor | Singer | Dancer
ABOUT ME
Sophia Ross Alvarez is a singer, actor, dancer, and voice over artist. She was born a Navy brat by the sea, and has since lived in numerous locations across America, from San Diego to Washington D.C.!
She is a recent graduate from Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a B.F.A in Musical Theatre. Some of her favorite projects include the Conservatory's production of City of Angels, playing the Angel City Four Soprano (see "Performance Clips" tab), and Nunsense with New Bedford Festival Theatre (Sister Mary Leo).
Additionally, she adores diving into new work, having done so with longtime friend and composer Paul Hardin (see examples in "Performance Clips" and "Studio Recordings" tabs). She just finished performing the role of Malvina in the world premiere of new musical Pinocchio at the Emerson Colonial Theater in Boston, directed and composed by Alexander Prokhorov-Tolstoy. This past January 6th, she performed in 54 Below's One Year In: The Songs of Paul Hardin (videos in "Performance Clips").
In addition to performing, Sophia loves children and has previously worked as a camp counselor and math tutor. She is now starting to teach and coach voice privately after studying vocal pedagogy this year at Berklee, and looks forward to helping singers explore and expand their voice!
